The BIC Accessibility Hub is live!

BIC’s Accessibility Hub is intended to be a helpful ‘one-stop shop’ resource area for individuals and organisations wishing to create, distribute and bring to market accessible content. The hub will be regularly reviewed by BIC’s Focus on Accessibility Group and updated/modified over time as further resources and information are made available or brought to the attention of the group.

We have also been hosting a series of BIC Green Brunch webinars addressing the upcoming European Accessibility Act, coming into effect on 28th June 2025. The first four sessions can be accessed on the BIC YouTube channel, focusing on: Metadata, Digital Content, Alt Text and Fixed Layout.

The next BIC Brunch session will be taking place on Thursday 30th January 2025 at 12:00 pm – 1.30 pm GMT, focusing on STEM/Scholarly Publishing. Tickets are FREE for BIC and BISG members and MA publishing Students at City St George’s, University of London. Everyone else is required to pay a nominal fee. Please ensure you select the correct ticket type. Booking closes at 5:00 pm Tuesday 28th January, via the event page.

If there are any topics or resources that you would like to us to add/include on the Accessibility Hub, please get in touch via info@bic.org.uk.
