BIC’s Practicalities of EUDR Workshop
April 23 @ 9:00 am - 4:30 pm BST
Free
BIC is pleased to announce that it is holding an in-person EUDR workshop on Wednesday 23rd April 2025 in London at the offices of:
HarperCollins, The News Building, 1 London Bridge Street, London SE1 9GF
Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided
This is a collaborative, hands-on workshop for people and organisations that are currently working on their solutions to EUDR. It is not a workshop to come and learn about EUDR. Delegates will be required to discuss ideas and solutions, and to make decisions in order to come to a consensus across the book industry supply chain.
The purpose behind the workshop is to address the following:
· Agree the touch points where data will need to be passed down the supply chain
· Agree what data needs to be passed at these points
· Agree what file formats organisations will use to pass the data along the supply chain
The intention is to find an industry-agreed way of working to help make the implementation of EUDR as smooth as possible for the UK book industry supply chain.
Delegates will be provided with generic maps of the EUDR supply chain and other relevant information, including a programme for the day prior to the workshop.
Who should attend?
We are looking for delegates from all areas of the supply chain, specifically – Academic, Children and Trade publishers, printers, systems vendors, warehouses, retail and customer distribution centres and booksellers. Spaces are limited generally, and specifically to two people per organisation, so please discuss with your colleagues internally to make sure the appropriate personnel are attending.
If you’d like to know who we’ve shared news of this event within your organisation, or who from your organisation has already booked a place, please get in touch via info@bic.org.uk
Who can attend?
The workshop is open to BIC members and non-members. Non-members will be asked to pay a small fee. BIC members are able attend free-of-charge as part of their ongoing member benefits.
Arrival time and clearing security
Please note that all delegates will need to arrive at the HarperCollins office at 9:00 am so that they can clear security and be escorted together to the room the workshop will be held in. This will enable the workshop to start on time as there is a packed agenda for the day.
How to Register and Deadline for Registration
To register for this workshop please use the appropraite ticket category for your organisation type. Spaces are limited. Please note the registration for this event will close on Wednesday 16th April 2025 at 5.00 pm.
